Kingsbarns evening beach shoot – Part 2

Following on from my previous blog about a Kingsbarns evening beach shoot the group of us ended up scrambling off of the beach in almost total darkness.  Sarah from PK Perspective then came up with the idea of doing some light painting on a shelter we had to walk passed to get back to the car park.

I managed to get some interesting and very varied shots (most of which turned out to be rubbish).  Here is a selection of some of the weirdest and worst:

So that torch is too bright for a 30sec exposure at f/3.5 and ISO400

The one shot I did get that I consider ok is this one:

Ok so it’s not as sharp as I’d like due to using ISO400 but considering all these shots were taken in darkness and at 30 second exposures I’m surprised I got even one that was ok.  The lesson learnt that night was be careful who you agree to go to the beach with at night time, turns out some normal looking people can start doing some strange things once it gets dark!
